eero Wi-Fi 6 Hardware is Coming Soon

Edit: See my full review of the eero 6+ and eero 6 Pro 6E to see what’s new about the Wi-Fi 6 eeros, how they compare, and how they perform.

Jim Salter walks us through what we know so far:

  • Wi-Fi 6 replacements for the eero, eero Beacon, and eero Pro were spotted at the FCC

  • The eero and eero Beacon are dual band, the eero Pro is again tri-band

  • Bluetooth LE and Zigbee should be supported

  • Most information is confidential until March 10th, 2021

  • There is no timeline for when they will be announced or available.

This is great news! I’ll be testing them when I can get my hands on them. For the rest of the details and a few pictures, check out Jim Salter’s article at ArsTechnica, and Dave Zatz for more information and pictures.
