Reader FAQ: Ask me anything!

Why Make A Reader FAQ?

Over the past few months, I've had many people ask me questions via my contact page. I've had people send me their network parts lists or diagrams to look over. I've had people ask for clarifications on something I said, or to offer a correction. I've had people ask me if I'm a consultant (I'm not), or if I can make a quote for them (I can't). I'm just a normal guy who likes helping people and sharing what he knows.

Answering these kinds of questions is one of my favorite parts of working on this website. I'm always happy to answer questions when I can, and I try to respond in depth. I've had a few email chains that turned into posts, or ideas for posts. At this point, it makes sense to combine these things. If someone sends me a question in an email, and I respond, that's only two people that get to see it. I want to turn the best of these questions into a Q&A and post it publicly. Multicast > Unicast.

That's where you come in, reader. If you have a question, please submit it via my contact page. I won't be including any personal information, I'm just interested in what kinds of questions people have. I will also be going back through my past submissions, and pulling out relevant questions that I think would be good to share. Once I have enough, I'll be putting them together into a post similar to my FAQ pages on Wi-Fi and Ubiquiti.

What kind of questions are good?

Anything related to:

  • Wi-Fi
  • Ubiquiti
  • Networking
  • Apple products
  • General tech advice or opinions

I'm not an expert on everything, but I'm happy to try to answer any questions you might have. As always, thank you for taking the time to read my site. I appreciate all of you.
